Cruises that port in Galicia, Spain
Galicia has two primary ports used by cruise ships. They are la Coruna and Vigo and both, but especially la Coruna, get regular Spanish cruise traffic. Santiago de Compostela is only 40 minutes from la Coruna port and shuttles take cruise passengers there and back for a day’s sightseeing excursion. Below we have some sponsored advertisements that should enable you to find out more about cruises to this region of Spain. Please be aware that selections will vary between companies and that some advertisers will alternate at different times of the day.
The cruises that are likely to stop off at one of Galicia’s ports are those calling at France on route to Southern Spain and crossing the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans. The famous (and infamous) Bay of Biscay is just north and east of Galicia and Portugal is directly to the south.
Whilst la Coruna is ideally located for excursions to Santiago de Compostela, Vigo is well placed for a trip to Pontevedra with its beautiful medieval old quarter and some excellent local beaches. All told selecting a cruise that makes a port of call at one of Galicia’s harbours may make for a memorable day or two.
