Why select Martin Lambert to develop your company's website
Why select Martin Lambert to develop your company's website
Please note, this page is over 3 years old, I have only just realised that it is still here (27.09.2007) and I no longer work in the field of IT. Anyone wishing to find a web designer should perform a search on the internet, or use a web directory.
There are both reasons for and against selecting Martin Lambert as your web development specialist.
If you want to have a single individual responsible, accountable and with a full knowledge of everything to do with your web development project, Martin will meet your requirements. If however you prefer a large company with separate specialists for sales, site design, graphics and search engine optimisation, another company may serve your needs better.
Qualifications
Qualifications
When it comes to qualifications, these fall into two categories, "academic" and "real world" experience and Martin has both.
- *Information Extraction and its sister technology, information retrieval, are the two methodologies used by search engines to deliver their search results. As such Martin is uniquely qualified when it comes to an understanding, not just of the concepts behind, but the ways in which, search engines implement their indexing, extracting and retrieving processes. Naturally this knowledge provides a huge advantage when it comes to search engine optimising a website to appear on searches.
Designing your site
Designing your site
The overall concept of web design falls into two distinct areas, the appearance of the site (the part that you see) and its performance on search engines, the bit that relies on subtle "on" and "off" page design features (that are not so obvious).
Martin's approach is to avoid compromising these two requirements by designing simple clean looking websites that focus on your company and the products or services that you want to sell. Content is always 2key2, and Martin will discuss how to present what you do in a way that gets your message across to your potential customers whilst also bringing your website to the attention of search engines. Done correctly, these two objectives should actually compliment, rather than be at odds with one-an-other.Finally, what guarantee do you have that your website really will perform on search engines?
If your website is designed and implemented by Martin Lambert, the answer is a financial one.
During the design and objective setting phase of discussions with you, you will establish with Martin a primary keyword optimisation term. This collection of words will be the phrase that you jointly think is most likely to be entered into a search engine by your potential customers. i.e. The collection of words that you feel your customers are most likely to search for in order to find your business or your product using the internet. Martin will then provide you with statistical data relating to this term (e.g. number of searches per month) so that you have an accurate expectation of search engine traffic. At this point a targeted position on the google search engine will be agreed for this term (e.g. page one or two) and 50% of Martin fee will be payable dependant upon this objective being achieved.
